In an idyllic and preserved setting nestled in the hills alongside a narrow winding road, the commune of Théoule-sur-Mer is a charming village of 1,500 inhabitants just 40 kilometers from Cannes and a perfect starting point for discovering the Esterel and its surroundings.

The Esterel corniche, also known as the Golden Corniche is a 40 kilometer stretch of road along the Côte d’Azur between Frejus and La Napoule. Following the jagged cliffs, it’s a spectacular drive and the perfect way to discover the other facet of the French Riviera, a region which too many tourists simply equate with the cities of Nice, Saint-Tropez and Cannes. Of all the accommodations, the most luxurious by far is the Penthouse, an 80 square meter suite with two terraces, two jacuzzis and of course, an uninterrupted view of the Esterel’s unforgettable landscapes.

The gastronomic restaurant, L’Or Bleu, has an enchanting terrace as well, but above all, it offers guests a menu with Mediterranean and Provencal dishes all updated with great creativity. Whether it’s fish from the nearby waters or delicious cuts of meat, the taste and talent of Fabrice Giraud are a delight for those dining here.

The Yaksta has taken full advantage of its incredible location on the cliffs to create a zen like garden below filled with the aromas and colors of its flowers all year long. Canopy daybeds are an invitation for guests to lie back and take in the magnificent view, unless of course they’re tempted by a swim in the infinity pool.
