A program of durable management and development known as “Green Globe » is specifically dedicated to the tourist sector. In existence since 1993 as a voluntary membership program, it began its certification initiative in 1999. The criteria for certification covers all problems concerning durable development including pollution reduction, support for local projects and protection of sites. The Naladhu Maldives Resort is one of the rare hotels in the archipelago to have received the precious recognition.
