The 26 atolls of the Maldives archipelago form a chain of almost 1,200 islands stretching over about 800 kilometers from North to South. The very pleasant all year round climate with temperatures rarely dipping below 26 degrees Celsius and the beauty of the landscapes have made this small country an extremely popular tourist destination.

The Ari is the Maldives’ largest and northernmost atoll. In spite of its 61 small desert islets, it is the most heavily populated in the archipelago containing no less than 18 inhabited islands of which 25 possess a hotel.
