The 40 villas of the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa hotel in the heart of the Seychelles archipelago are spread along the beaches of Mahé Island. This luxury establishment with its delightfully tropical style offers guests the unique experience of an intimate retreat on the shores of the Indian Ocean. The sober, contemporary and spacious rooms with their canopy beds possess every possible modern comfort. The bathrooms open onto the outside facing the Seychelles horizon in the distance and cast a veil of romance over this legendary Mahé Island address. From the edge of the infinity swimming pool to the tables of the Le Cocotier restaurant, The Hilton Northolme Resort & Spa celebrates the gentleness of island living in a truly heavenly décor.

The Seychelles is an Indian Ocean archipelago particularly popular with tourists the world over for its idyllic climate enjoyed by all its islands all year long, its fantastic landscapes and its numerous preserved and wild fine sand beaches considered to be the most beautiful in the world. Tourists first arrive in Mahé, the largest island, and then take off for the little corner of paradise they have chosen for their vacation. Mahé is part of the islands known as the Exterior Islands, where most of the tourist activity takes place.

Victoria, the archipelago’s capital, contains a third of the population and in addition to being a very pleasant city, is ideal for learning more about the archipelago’s history. The National Museum and the magnificent botanic gardens dating back to the 19th century are both well worth visiting. It’s also in Victoria where one can find the famous miniature reproduction of the celebrated Big Ben of London, which is one of the capital’s major attractions.

A dream vacation facing the Indian Ocean

One of the oldest luxury hotels in the Seychelles is located on a hill in Mahé, the archipelago’s main island: the Hilton Seychelles Resort & Spa. Entirely renovated in 2006 to assure guests of continued high quality, it consists of 40 villas nestled on the side of the hill, overlooking the sea, in the heart of the tropical forest. Most of them have a western exposure and were created as such to enable guests to enjoy the superb sunsets over the sea. Each villa contains 90 square meters of contemporary and colonial inspiration. The four-poster beds are equipped with mosquito nests for peaceful nights on a lovely raised platform. There’s a living room space with a sofa, armchairs, a plasma screen and DVD player for pleasant moments of relaxation. The bathroom is huge with two sinks, a bathtub and a magnificent tropical shower with the same breathtaking view of the ocean as from the rest of the villa.

The veranda dominates the horizon and is the ideal spot for pleasant naps to the gentle rhythm of the ocean waves. The hotel boasts three restaurants and of course, room service. The Cocotier proposes a romantic setting and gastronomic cuisine highlighting Creole dishes accompanied by excellent wines. The Hilltop, the hotel’s main dining area, offers copious buffets for breakfast and for dinner. Finally, the Oceanview Bar & Deck faces the sea and is open all day long for light lunches, snacks and cocktails. A magnificent infinity pool, several coves of fine sand for diving, kayaking or just relaxing are available, as well as excursions offered by the hotel, enabling guests to discover the region. In addition, the hotel has a devoted and impeccable staff ready to respond to its guests every demand.

The James Bond Villa is named in honor of his celebrated creator, Ian Fleming, who stayed at the hotel. It’s a perfect spot for special agents to relax between missions!
