Prague, the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic, reserves a warm welcome and a host of places to see for visitors who come here for a few days or even longer. What strikes people who visit Prague for the first time is the incredible originality and diversity of its architecture. Purely Gothic buildings stand side by side with Baroque and even eccentric ultra modern structures. There is sometimes even a mixture of styles in the same edifice. However, lovers of good taste can rest assured that everything is harmonious and a curious interest often takes precedence over pure shock! A good example is the famous 14th century Charles Bridge which connects the Old City quarter to the Malá Strana, and which replaced the old Judith Bridge that partially collapsed. At each end of it, there is a tower, but since they were built during different eras, one is in Gothic style and the other Roman! Those who visit the Prague Castle will also discover a variety of constructions, each one more imposing than the other, offering visitors a refined sampling of the rich architectural and historical range of the city its inhabitants call Praha.
Just a few steps from the old city and its remarkable monuments, we can see the outline of the famous Four Seasons Hotel Prague, a reference for many years in the luxury hotel range. The Four Seasons guarantees guests of a luxurious and refined holiday. Three of the hotel’s buildings are in Classical, Renaissance and Baroque styles making the hotel totally representative of Prague, and a more modern fourth building all welcome guests to the hotel’s 161 rooms of which 20 are suites. They all have an elegant and chic décor fully worthy of the building in which they are situated. The Classical rooms are sober and harmonious. The Renaissance rooms are romantic with soft colors and the Baroque rooms are radiant and brightly lit. They all have precious wood furniture, large beds, noble and refined fabrics and large marble bathrooms. Thanks to the big windows and for some rooms, a balcony, there are magnificent views of the castle, the city, the celebrated Charles Bridge or the banks of the Vitava. Each room contains every possible comfort and modern equipment including a flat screen TV and high-speed internet access. The Presidential Suite is undoubtedly the hotel’s jewel with its 300 square meters of extravagance and splendor of all sorts.
Guests have a fitness area, massage cabins and a sauna for easing the tensions of the daily grind. Finally, there’s nothing better at the end of the day than a dinner in the hotel’s starred restaurant where the Chef proposes refined Mediterranean and international cuisine.
There are several golf courses near the hotel. To use one, guests simply have to inform the reception desk and all the arrangements will be made for them.
