Trouville, a seaside resort opposite the city of Deauville, is extremely popular with residents of the Paris region as a haven of peace just two hours from the French capital. Thanks to an intensive and exacting restoration and renovation, the Marine Cure building offers visitors the facilities of a traditional palace of the Grande Epoque. This 1900s atmosphere however, can be deceiving since the décor and furnishings of renowned architect Jean-Philippe Nuel are totally contemporary. And yet, by combining the historical and the modern, the charm of the hotel’s aesthetics creates a timeless, elegant and luxurious venue.

The simplicity of the colors, the simple lines of the space and the furniture and the small designer touches create an incredible youthful feeling of a site which seems to come to us from the beginning of the 20th century. The materials used are enchanting to the eye and pleasing to the senses.

An impression of gentle serenity is apparent in the hotel’s 103 rooms of which seven are suites. Decorative frescoes using elements that were found on the site during the renovation are placed above the beds with a spectacular effect. The ceilings possess mother of pearl chandeliers. Everything here is finesse including the magnificent fabrics of wool, glazed, mat and satin linen covering the windows, couches and armchairs. The curtains are designed to be an integral part of the room and not merely décor. They are deployed throughout the entire space creating a veritable cocoon, a privileged site where the senses are excited and the mind is at rest.

The gastronomic restaurant directed by chef David Drans proposes a cuisine inspired by the products and the tastes of the sea. Finesse, taste and discovery embody the menu, and guests can be assured of spending a privileged moment in a sophisticated setting.
