Ramatuelle

In the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, overlooking the celebrated Pampelonne Beach, we find the authentic Provencal village of Ramatuelle. Encircled by ramparts, its narrow streets possess old stone houses with pink tiled roofs. Located on the spur of a hill, it’s a peaceful, quiet hotel in sharp contrast to the Jet set ambiance of the central Saint-Tropez.

Protected for generations, the commune, which stretches over 3,600 hectares, is surrounded by wooded hills, a plain covered with vineyards and a large coast including the legendary Pampelonne Beach.

This immense white sandy bay became famous in 1946 when the Tahiti Beach was the setting for the bamboo decor of the Georges Manae film “Song of the Islands”, abandoned by the cinema studios. Ten years later however, it became the canteen for the film crew that was shooting the legendary film by Roger Vadim, “And God Created Woman”. In the end, it became the very popular Club 55.

From that moment on, it became a favorite with the Jet set, and the beach became one of the most famous in the world. In a half century,it has played host to all of the world’s show business celebrities, and in high season welcomes 30,000 visitors.

A design cocoon in an ecological park

The 5 stars Muse Saint-Tropez, a veritable jewel of luxury, is a poetic and magical site in the heart of the peninsula.

Along the M arres road, a few minutes from the legendary Place des Lices, 14 elegant and luxurious suites, designed as private residences, are nestled in an ecological landscaped park of more than 2 hectares, designed by Sophie Agata Ambroise. In this typically Mediterranean garden, the 160 planted essences createan effusion of whites, violets and grays. The pines, olive and palm trees blend elegantly and give the garden a wild but controlled aura.

The blend of contemporary luxury and French refinement are reflected in the zen like, spacious and luminous suites. They bear the names of contemporary muses: Romy, Grace, Ava, Colette and Josephine. They are all elegantly decorated with powdered marble on the walls and the ceiling, and light colored stone on the floors. The made to measure furniture is the work of Henryot, the precious fabrics are by Pierre Frey and the outdoor furniture is the work of Andreu World. Small objects placed all over add a warm and personal touch.

Designed as veritable living rooms, the bathrooms open onto the bedrooms and are equipped with ultra modern showers. In this intimate and restful establishment, each suite has its own spa, its own garden, a terrace and a private pool.

Hidden in the midst of greenery, like a luxurious oasis, the swimming pool is the ideal space for total relaxation. The bar surrounding it, the canopies and the lines of deck chairs create the perfect atmosphere for a light meal or a cocktail in total serenity. With its zen like spirit, dried walls, waterfalls, non ostentatious luxury and attentive service, there is nothing missing in this design and deco cocoon where everything has been magnificently planned and executed.

In this Garden of Eden, where everything is designed to please the senses, the restaurant is a prime example. Called the M, the restaurant, bathed in natural light, is directed by Chef Nicolas Tourmelin with the complicity of Clément Bruno, the king of the truffle. Inspired by regional gastronomy, the cuisine is made exclusively with local and seasonal products. Facing the immense swimming pool, guests can choose between a “tournedos of langoustine with gnocchi foie gras and a small violet confit in olive oil” or if they prefer fish, a “dorade sauce vierge à la tapenade and citron confit.”
