Marrakesh

Marrakesh, a magnificent North African jewel, has long been a popular tourist destination for visitors in search of cultural treasures, a pleasant climate and a total change of scene. To immerse oneself in the pure tradition of the country, a visit to the Jemaa El Fna square is ideal for discovering the folklore of the city.

A timeless journey

Nestled in the heart of the famous Palmeraie, the Palais Rhoul & Spa is an institution in Marrakesh. One could even say it is so exceptional, that it’s one of the true jewels of the city. Its architecture is first to attract our attention. Built in a five-hectare garden, like an ancient Greco-Roman temple, this superb structure is supported by more than 180 columns, giving it both splendor and character. Inside, we find the salons where guests meet one another during their stay here. The atmosphere is calm the décor consists of a subtle blend international objects and pieces representing local craftsmanship.

A pool with flower petals scattered over it, creates the sensation of freshness and the wisteria on the roofs of the palace, reflect in the water of the outdoor swimming pool, located in the center of the property.

The décor of the rooms and the suites is elegant and sober in order for guests to feel quickly at ease. Each room has a view of either the pool or the garden. What gives this palace its real charm however, are the six traditional tents set up in the garden. Their thick black and white canvas conceals a private and luxurious space with a large bed, a bathroom, a patio and a swimming pool, destined for those who want to live a totally new experience in this land of a thousand and one nights.

At the spa, massages and treatments using delicate perfumes enable guests to discover the tradition of Moorish baths and the hammam. Finally, for food lovers in search of new flavors, two culinary experiences are available: international cuisine in the garden, with its delicious fragrances, and in the heart of the palace, for typically Moroccan cuisine.

For the lines of the Palais Rhoul, which are radically different from the city’s traditional hotels, it seems the architect was inspired by the palace of Pontius Pilate in Galilee.
