During the last century, the region known as Turtle Bay was a popular resort for well to do inhabitants of Port-Louis, the capital of Mauritius. For a long time, it was preserved from the negative aspects of mass tourism since hotel groups and other tourist organizations showed little interest in the site.

At first glance, the area doesn’t seem to be a Mecca for tourists in search of the fine sand beaches for which Mauritius is renowned. The landscape is rocky and beaches “almost” non-existent and the only interest for tourists would be to visit the remains of infrastructures built under the command of the French governor Mahé de La Bourdonnais. It consists of four bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom with a superb view of the Indian Ocean. The spacious veranda faces the ten by four meter private swimming pool, and the suite also possesses its own spa with a shower, hammam and jacuzzi.

The hotel proposes two restaurants, the Oriza which serves Mauritian specialties and the Passion, specializing in grilled dishes and which in addition, offers guests the possibility of having lunch or dinner alongside the water!

The interior swimming pool called Laguna possesses filtered ocean water, a unique installation on the island, an additional exclusive charm of the Angsana.
